  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

    All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
    However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

    Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

SOLD: Dead 3U Server Chassis - "Grandfathered" w/New Service Kit

Hey fellow Kscape owners,

My Premiere system was integrated with my Encore system for a few months, but before I was able to install them together in my new theater room, the 3U Server stopped working and installing a service kit did not remedy the problem. As a result, I've finally made the difficult decision to retire the Premiere system and am hoping the server has value for a fellow owner.
  • s/n: 0000 0000 678A
  • No warranty
To be clear, the server is NOT working but the s/n is grandfathered (to import DVDs) and has a brand new service kit installed in it. It does power on with the new service kit, but the disks do not spin (I suspect a faulty back plane). If you do purchase the chassis, the grandfathered status can be moved to a working Premiere system (you would just need to ask K support to do this). If no one is interested in the grandfathering/chassis after a few days, I will likely remove the service kit and part the server out where I can. In addition to a brand new power supply and fans, the bezel and hinges are working fine and in good cosmetic condition.

Asking $1000 for the chassis to start plus shipping, and will adjust later if there is no interest and it becomes parts.

I'm waiting on a response, but most likely this is being sold. I'll update the thread if that changes.
