Cinema one hard drive fail

I have a cinema one, I have a fault code that says the hard drive is dead. K says they no longer make that drive. Do I have any options?

A computer guru friend hooked the drive to a computer and it is readable, and hooked a junk drive to the cinema one, he said he heard it spin up. He says he can try hooking the old drive to a cloned, and see if it will clone to a different drive. Would that work? Or would it be a waste of money to buy a drive to try it on?

Need help, I can not afford to replace my system, really could use some help or ideas

Don't believe cloning is possible, or it would be public knowledge. I wouldn't spend money on that myself.
If you bought it from a dealer, that would probably be your best option.

It sounds like this is impossible to fix. So if you’d like to sell in as is condition, I sent you a PM.

Just so you know I‘ve been a Kaleidescape dealer since 2005. So I buy certain older non-functioning Kaleidescape models for parts.
