  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

    All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
    However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

    Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

EDIT: Updated condition of unit.

I have an original series Cinema One, grandfathered for DVD loading rights (transferrable and I am transferring this with the sale). Has 4 x 500gb drives. This unit no longer is under warranty. It has never opted in for the Disney option, so it can still load physical Disney discs.

It will no longer boot up. Lights come on, but nothing on the screen, no lights from the hard drives or activity on the network side that I can see (won't get to the web interface). I do not know if the power supply just won't handle the boot process now or if there is an issue with the RAID system or what. I can still use it for a trade-in, but it will take a grandfathered license off the market if I do. Time to get a new Strato, so unless I find somebody who wants to buy it for the license, I am going to trade it in.

$900. Free shipping in the continental USA. (Anything less than that and I am better off getting my trade-in discount and free movie store credits).

Updated listing above to reflect that it failed the pre-shipment test yesterday. I refunded prior buyer their money. This unit is not currently functioning but can still be used for trade-in. If I don't get a buyer, I will trade it in for a Strato (and there will be one less grandfathered license on the market because of that).

If somebody is looking to buy a new 1U server, there is a trade-in offer to get 25% off on that purchase if you trade in a component like this one and you would be able to keep the grandfathered license for your new 1U. That is like $3k off the cost of a 1U server and a grandfathered license, but it is a limited time offer...
