I am perpetually fascinated by what studios choose to release or not release on 4K.I have noticed that Casper (1995) is getting a 4k release on disk in August.
Do you think that Kscape will be upgrading this on the platform it is from universal.
Like yourself I have a young family 6 and 9 boy and girl. This is a film that holds alot of nostalgia for me as I enjoyed watching this when I was young.I am perpetually fascinated by what studios choose to release or not release on 4K.
I have 8 and 10 year old boys, and they are not exactly discriminating cinephiles at this stage...obviously you enjoyed this film enough to be excited about its 4K release. It doesn't have the best scores...but I am intrigued if you are intrigued![]()
I have plundered the deepest regions of Kscape store, eBay, AppleTV, and IMDB...in a quest for the greatest animated and kids films. I have stumbled across some absolute gems. May I recommend "A Town Called Panic"...you may need to read the subtitles to your kids, but it is totally worth it. My kids and I laughed until our sides hurt...I've never seen anything so crazy.Like yourself I have a young family 6 and 9 boy and girl. As a family we have enjoyed repeated viewings of this so would love the upgrade on the K. I assume it will just be if the title is popular enough to warrant it.
I will definitely check out these recommendations. Thank you.I have plundered the deepest regions of Kscape store, eBay, AppleTV, and IMDB...in a quest for the greatest animated and kids films. Most recent 4K Catalog Upgrade from Universal is Earthquake. Due last week and not yet on K. So, maybe keep an eye on that one as an indicator. No updates on Casper!
Where's Casper! Isn't today supposedly the day? Most recent 4K Catalog Upgrade from Universal is Earthquake. Due last week and not yet on K. So, maybe keep an eye on that one as an indicator.
Keep those fingers crossed, it could still show up later this week or in the next few weeks.Where's Casper! Isn't today supposedly the day?
It’s odd to not see any movement at all on this.Any updates on this becoming available with a 4k upgrade? Really not wanting to buy it on physical media and have to double dip![]()
I'd give it until October before buying the disc. Some lower priority (for K) titles still hit within a 90 day window of the release date as they are subject to resource availability. Universal 4K Catalog updates generally appear on K, and they just caught up with Earthquake and 40-Year-Old Virgin which both arrive a bit late.Any updates on this becoming available with a 4k upgrade? At the very least, you'd think it would come out before Halloween considering that it is about ghostsI'd give it until October before buying the disc. I can also vouch for Ernest & Celestine (first one, at least), April & the Extraordinary World, and Song of the Sea (and the other ones from that studio).I have plundered the deepest regions of Kscape store, eBay, AppleTV, and IMDB...in a quest for the greatest animated and kids films. Watched Casper 4K on the Kscape with the kids the other night. Cute film, with some nice Atmos. Thank you for the recommendation!Like yourself I have a young family 6 and 9 boy and girl. This is a film that holds alot of nostalgia for me as I enjoyed watching this when I was young.
