Bram Stoker's Dracula - Synch Issues

Joe

I imported Bram Stoker's Dracula and have noticed that the audio track is about 5 seconds ahead of the video. I imported via speedreader, noticed the issue, deleted the movie and then re-imported the film using a movie player 2 device just to make sure. Same problem happens. Any ideas?

that's odd... don't have that movie, but haven't seen that happen before.

Since you have a Movie Player 2, have you tried playing it from the tray? Would be interesting to see if it happens on direct playback through the Kaleidescape player, or only on playback from the server?

Excellent suggestion, Josh. The movie plays just fine off the disc in the MP2, so something goes awry during the import. Think this is something K could address if I lend them the movie?

I'd drop a note to them by email at movieguide-data@kaleidescape.com, and see if they're aware of the issue, and if borrowing your disc would help address the problem.

Joe,

Did you ever figure this out? Is this the only title in your library that exhibits this behaviour? Does the sync issue exist for all audio tracks or just the default one?

Sending Movie to Kscape

Kaleidescape contacted me about this, so I will send them the disc. Will keep you all posted...
