EXCLUSIVE: DISNEY & SONY INK DEAL FOR SONY TO TAKE OVER DISNEY’S PHYSICAL MEDIA PRODUCTION, DISNEY MOVIE CLUB TO SHUT DOWN AS A RESULT

Sony's DADC plants were terrible in QAQC back in the day. I have so many rotted discs already. I just had to pull out 3 more discs from my Premiere disc vaults today because these discs can not longer be recognized. I wonder how many years these new Disney disc will last on shelves.

Same here, I've had to pull dozens over the years because of layer separation. I know storage temp and humidity affect longevity to some extent, but many of my defective discs weren't that old, and were considered to be properly stored, so clearly a manufacturing problem. It's interesting that these discs can look new when examined, but have separated internal layers.
