AVR replacement suggestions re handshake issues

I am trying out Strato E from Best Buy. Handshake issues with my Anthem MRX-520 occurred but were resolved with an HDFury DRHDMI8K. I'd rather not have to purchase a DRHDMI8K. Any suggestions for an AVR (preferably used) that would not have handshake issues with Strato E? Thanks.
