Just a FYI, to those that do not already know. Effective beginning with BR capable equipment shipped in 2012, the Analog Sunset provisions require the Player's be limited to 480i output from their component out connection.

What this means for you: If you are planning to buy an M300 or M500 in the future, and want to be able to output an HD signal (720p or 1080i*) from the component out of the M300 or M500, then you need to ORDER NOW. The Player MUST be shipped in 2011 to obtain the current 720p/1080i HD component output capability. Not just ordered in 2011, SHIPPED in 2011, so be sure to order right away to insure the order is processed in time to be shipped by December 31, 2011. If you have been considering trading in an older Player for a new M-series Player, the Player trade-up program is still in effect. Contact your dealer for more details.

*1080p is already not permitted over component.
