Alien 3 question

Can anyone that has already purchased Alien 3 tell me if it has the Assembly cut to watch as an option? Or is it only the theatrical cut?

Thank you!

all 4 films have both the theatrical and the director’s cut in HD. They are seamlessly branched into single download files for each movie which saves space. In my opinion this movie is underrated but neither version is perfect. I think I slightly like the theatrical version better.

I disagree on the theatrical vs. assembly cut issue, but I completely agree that this is a vastly underrated film. It's become kind of hip to knock it - in part because Fincher himself disowned it. But I think Fincher hates it because it's not what he wanted to do (the studio interfered), but I'm seeing as what he actually made and his movie is quite brilliant. A far more original take on the concept than "Aliens." The story goes that Cameron pitched the movie to studio execs by coming to a pitch meeting, writing the word ALIEN$ on the board and walking out. And that's the movie he made. Fincher tried something completely different and original. People get mad at the opening scene where the girl and the guy (whatever their names are) are killed, but you know what - they should be killed! They should have been killed in "Aliens." I recently saw Christopher Nolan argue that "Alien 3" is fantastic and he's right.

I agree with all this. I meant neither version is vastly superior than the other. I would have preferred the assembly cut but the ox thing just doesn’t make sense to me. This alien is a lot more sleek and agile. A Rottweiler makes a lot more sense. The movie as a whole is a masterpiece and a worthy successor of the first Alien film.

I don’t mind Aliens but I would rank it below Prometheus and Covenant. I am so disappointed with James Cameron and the new Avatar and the other 20 Avatar films he plans to make. Even Piranhas 2 was a more enjoyable film than the Avatar 2.
