  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

    All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
    However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

    Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

Forum members, it is with great regret that I am listing me kaleidescape system for sale.

Kaleidescape 3u kserver 5000 with 8x 4tb drives - $12,000 (purchased the drives through a server/drive upgrade with cinelife). grandfathered and can import Disney discs.
M500 bluray player - $2,000
K5000 player (I think I have three or four still) - $500 each
M700 disc vault player - the carousel turns and loads discs but it isn't reading them. Still works as a player. $2,000 - SOLD
K4000 Music player - $500

If you want to buy it all, there is some discount to be had. Paypal please add paypal fees. I am located in northern california if you want local pickup.

Dyc, can you clarify which functionality is not working on the vault? Can I still use it as a vault?

I'm not the seller and don't know for 100% certain, but I'm relatively certain what he's saying is that no, it does NOT work as a vault as it won't *read disks*. So it's really just a very large M300 since M700's have player capability, too.

Sorry guys. Didn't realize the instant notifications are turned off on my account. The m700 spins, will load a disc into the drive, but for some reason doesn't read the disc for data. It is still functioning as a player. My best guess is that the bluray drive inside needs replacement. I opened it up to see what was going on. Very interesting piece of hardware! That's how I figured out what was going on. Replying to pms now.
 
m700 has been sold. everything else still available! Added a K4000 music player that I totally forgot about.

Hello,

I would like to buy the k4000 player. Is it in full working order? Could you please find out the cost of sending it as quickly as possible to the UK? I understand that the shipping costs will be expensive, and assure you that I am happy to pay.

Sorry guys. I thought I turned on instant notification but I guess I don't have my account settings set up correctly. The 3u server is still available but out of warranty. I will connect the k4000 this week to test it out. You would think that I would have tried it prior to posting the listing, but obviously I hadn't thought through everything prior to listing my system up for sale. Regarding the m500, I would only like to sell that after I sell the server as I am still using it to watch movies until then.
