1U server problems

Hi All,

I have a 1U server w/4 hard discs and has this fault:
No lights on at all
Unplug and reboot - nothing
Press the "on" button a couple of times, then server lights will come on blue for a second or two, then off.
Repair in Europe they want ?750 +!

I think it is a power supply problem, has anyone seen similar?
 
I think you're correct, sounds like the power supply. You can order a power supply service kit from K Support. (U.S. price is $50)

just checking in to see if the problem was solved. my 5u server will power on and then shut off after a few seconds or stay on but without any of the hard drive lights lighting up. seems like the power button on the server might be sticking. would that cause this behavior if the power button is being held in nectar it is stuck?

Possibly, could also be a power supply issue.
