anyways, was thinking of a way to expand Terra beyond 40TB and came up with the idea of leveraging a 3U chassis acting as a JBOD extension to an existing Terra.
Likely support 12 3.5” disks. Buy the chassis and then add additional disks as required.
no idea how the kOS works but perhaps likely you need a Terra already and then this JBOD (just a bunch of disks- always loved that acronym!) would basically attach and greater expand its array/partition etc.
at some point power and rack space becomes an issue so having this capability, guess in a sense similar to the Premier 3U and 5000 series, then would be a great option that I think quite a few of us, particularly with large collections, would be interested in.
