thank you for the great suggestions 👍

To actually answer the question this time, my last movie watched was The Princess Bride, a family favorite for family movie night.

We watched Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die last night and absolutely LOVED it. Sam Rockwell is criminally underappreciated, Gore Verbinski has a delightfully bizarre mind, and this was great from start to finish. It drops you right into the action and doesn't let up. Sound mix was fantastic.

We loved that movie . It sure was wacky !

Ugh! This was BAD! Good soundtrack if that is a saving grace?
I was also disappointed in this one. The first Black Phone had that 80's Stephen King vibe going for it, more thriller than straight horror, and was something I actually recommended to parents, in-laws, etc. Sure, it had its horror elements, but nothing over the top. On the other hand, this sequel goes straight for horror and amps up the blood and gore with more of a "monster in a mask" vibe complete with remote lake setting. While I don't consider it a bad movie, it's simply not what I wanted and as a result I haven't recommended it.

hmmm... lost interest about an hour into it. a little too out-there for my wife, and I was just barely hanging in there. But given all the reviews here i may pick it up again and finish it now.

Avatar Fire and Ash-
I watched the Kscape Dolby Vision version last night. Fantastic presentation with first rate video and sublime bass. It was a hefty 123gb file size, so the sound was quite full and robust, with a ton of enveloping activity. The preset Kscape scenes were Chef's Kiss!

My wife and I enjoyed this a lot, not perfect but it’s a fun watch that’s pretty entertaining. I’m glad to see it’s done well at the box office as well.

It was a well made movie! 🍿

The Housemaid - Haven't watched it yet but didn't want to hijack the Movies on Sale thread. I just wanted to say "you're welcome" to all of those that are purchasing this movie now that it's on sale. I held out as long as I could but purchased late last night to watch this weekend. And right on schedule...

Anyways, How to Make a Killing was the actual last movie I watched. Enjoyed it. Was so close to be a great movie, but just didn't quite reach there for me.

I had picked up the 2 Naked Gun combo (original+ new) during the recent sale for $15. Watched the new/ reboot last night and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Barely under 90 mins of good ol slapstick comedy and some high octane action sequences. Plus I’m an unapologetic fan of Liam Neeson.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the way they implemented the atmos track for this film. This is an energetic track, with some good usage of the height channels and impactful mid range bass.

Was a surprise hit with family and friends. Perfect date night movie.
