All HDR movies gone

Hot-plugging can be a bit finicky, so needing a restart between devices isn't necessarily a knock on the newly connected device, but could be smoke.

Ran the projector cable directly to the Strato - and it seemed to work fine. Connected it back to the AV Receiver (using a different HDMI port than previously) and couldn't get the K menu up to select a movie. Had to restart the Strato, finally it came back, with white flashes. So it's the Onkyo AV Receiver. Not the cable, which worked fine connected directly to the Strato. So... I guess I need to maybe swap out the Onkyo. I only got this one less than a month ago.
What happened here? You had to swap out an entire receiver to get rid of the white flashes?

Hey Jim, so when a flash happens, do I just enter 5555? And then contact K store tech-support?

I just watched "Aladdin" in HDR. Occasional white flashes, and when the movie ended, the K menu did not come up. Just a black screen.
What does the 5555 do?

What does the 5555 do?

It marks a point in the logs for your system that makes it easier for K Support to find the location of the reported problem. (It could actually be any series of unique numbers, just something easy to locate, but Support often mentions 5555.)

I had the same issue with my Lyngdorf MP60 2.1.

I switched over to Trinnov and the problem went away. It is an HDMI handshake issue. I never had this with original MP60

Hi Jim!

As U posted above, an EDID misread or, in my case yesterday, a different EDID can make, for example, HDR versions of a K movies disappear as options to play, whilst allowing the compatible version-to remain available. I was changing settings in my Vrroom splitter, trying to get direct 3D split screen side by side, PS5 and then everything else to my Trrinnov Alt32. When I resent the EDID info, with HDR compatibility, there was joy in Mudville.

Thank you very much

FURY
