Got it, makes sense. We'll count the request for different app icons instead as a vote for iPad portrait mode support. :) --Dan.

Remotescape on sale: 25% off, Jun 20-26th, 2011

Is there a specific reason you still want the iPhone app on your iPad? I think the common solution is to just remove the iPhone app from your iPad once you purchase the iPad app. --Dan.

Remotescape 2.0 adds full movie support

I believe that's because on the iPhone, the portrait mode only works with the home button at the bottom, and you're running the iPhone version on an iPad. If we do a portrait mode for the iPad version, it won't have this problem. --Dan.

Remotescape 2.0 adds full movie support

It might take a few hours or so for the app information to propagate to all the App Store countries. It should eventually show you what's new in 2.1.0. --Dan.

Remotescape 2.0 adds full movie support

Remotescape 2.1 released! Josh -- this is fixed in v2.1, available in the App Store now. We added support for iOS 4 multitasking, as you suggested above. We read your detailed forum thread about this feature, and thought it was great. We've added buttons on the movie details views in v2.1...

Remotescape 2.0 adds full movie support

Believe it or not, it is on sale in the Australian App Store! The Apple App Store only allows developers to select a single "price tier", which is really just the USD price. Then Apple automatically sets the prices for all the other currencies. I just checked current foreign exchange rates...

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

I'm glad to hear you did finally get a refund from Apple, and very sorry that it was such a difficult process. I agree it sounds like one should avoid the "try it first" approach unless you're comfortable pushing hard on Apple for a refund. It's a pity they haven't provided a way for the...

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

Remotescape can't give you a refund. There's no way for an Apple developer to issue a refund to a customer. Apple is the sole arbiter of the refund process. Apple app devs don't even know the names of their customers -- we just get a daily report of how many sales in each region. If you want...

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

Remotescape's control apps have always been available worldwide. (Maybe you're thinking of Kaleidescape's app that shows you what titles you have on your system when you're on the go?)

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

The Remotescape Volume Control feature provides an "Activity Starting" event that's triggered when you launch the app and pick the zone you want to control. You can attach any commands you want here, including turning on components and selecting modes. (That is, you can control anything that...

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

Actually I think Apple is pretty reasonable about issuing refunds if you purchase an app and are not happy with it. They kind of hide the fact that you can do it, but this article explains how: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/features/408977/how_to_get_a_refund_from_the_itunes_app_store.html As...

Remotescape! Kaleidscape control from iPhone & iPod Touch

No, the two apps are separate -- the iPad version works only on the iPad. This FAQ and the next one have more details. --Dan.
