Kscape and Conductor lose album data

Glad that helped. Here is an official message that I received from a very kind senior exec with some more detail on what not to do: You recently reported a problem with missing music metadata from your Kaleidescape System. We have determined that we sent out an incorrect update that resulted in...

Kscape and Conductor lose album data

Like you all, I am experiencing the same issue. I spoke to a Kaleidescape support rep and he mentioned that the fix exists now and it will be distributed to systems over the next few days. He was non-commital about an exact date/time (understandably), but said it shouldn't be more than a week...

NEWS: New Kaleidescape Mini System Announcement!

Thanks Jim. That's helpful and I'm following you. Do you know when became today vs. the past? If I buy today (literally), then both the music and movie licenses would be included, as you say. So my question is, when to "today" start? I bought around 6 months ago and paid the music license, so...

NEWS: New Kaleidescape Mini System Announcement!

There still is a licensing fee for the All Music Guide subscription, right? I bought recently and paid that fee (a couple grand). If I hear that was dropped and I paid it, I'm going to get pretty excited as I also bought a number of the new players prior to the price drop. Somebody let me know...

    Blu-Ray Player Coming!

Yes, great deals to be had. Before we get blasted for being off topic, I assume those 997 GT3's are actually GT3-RS'? Is there a published price? :D Bringing it back somewhat, I'm a big slingbox fan and I believe the killer app is the Slingbox Pro-HD connected to the Kaleidescape then accessed...

    Blu-Ray Player Coming!

You're right, Jerry. I just don't like the reality of that answer. I just am looking at my SD movie hording tendancies and imagining in 5 years I'll need two 3U servers maxed out on drives to support BR aquisition and calculating that total cost...then imagining where the industry, licensing...

    Blu-Ray Player Coming!

This is all well and good...and I'm excited about BR, too, but....is anyone else not excited about your storage costs increasing 3 to 5 times by storing BR discs? I'm hoping that K's storage costs will downward adjust soon. Current costs seem to pre-pay for future drive failures... Who is...

    Kaleidescape Conducter and MAC itunes

I imagine that you could run it in a boot camp/VMWare situation as a windows app, though. I'm not a Mac guy though and haven't tried it.

    CONFIRMED FIXED: Wall-E Problems

Nevermind. False alarm on Kung Fu Panda! Server was caught in limbo. I took a closer look in the web interface and noticed that after an intial failed attempt to import Kung Fu Panda that each subsequent attempt left a message in the web UI that said, "DVD already imported" - even though it...

    CONFIRMED FIXED: Wall-E Problems

WALL-E in, but DOH! Kung-Fu Panda won't rip. In this case, I'm not receiving the same message I received when WALL-E couldn't import, but rather it just stays on 0% imported indefinitely. Has anyone successfully gotten Kung-Fu Panda imported? Or, if so, has anyone successfully gotten Kung-Fu...

    CONFIRMED FIXED: Wall-E Problems

Has anyone pestered Kaleidescape recently? Has there been any kind of ETA tendered? It's impossible to imagine what it would take K to fix this issue from a far, but my hope is that if we've seen this from 3 DVD's now that the this area of the code can be isolated or objectified enough that it...

    CONFIRMED FIXED: Wall-E Problems

That's good to hear. Before you moved the thread, I was going to ask if the Leatherheads issues were successfully resolved to see what the Wall-E chances were...the Leatherheads thread just falls away with no resolution. Oh my!

    Kaleidescape power usage

The only challenge I would have is that I think the killer app is the Kaleidescape with the new Slingbox Pro-HD. I'd need to be able to remotely power up the server when desired. Great ideas, though. Thanks for sharing.
