    So it turns out that the horizontal flanges on the faceplate (that fit above and below the equipment) were shipped with enough bend inward that they wouldn’t ride over the rack mount base itself. Once I bent these back to 90 degrees I was able to get the plate to move left or right therefore...

    I have all of this Jim. But maybe I need to just push the devices forward versus flush. I always hated that design.

    Thanks for responding! Not any wiggle room. In the past I have always mounted KScape devices so that they extend forward about 3/8” and that always drove me crazy about KScape. Maybe that’s what I have to do versus flush with the plate.
