XBMC

I built a server and media player for my best friend who cannot afford a Kaleidescape system. He loves it, but I am not sold on it. While it is a very pretty interface, the quality of the experience just doesn't match the Kaleidescape. I cannot expect my 5 year old to navigate the system. Also, the picture quality of his system isn't as nice as mine but I suspect it is because he plays torrents he downloads off the Internet.

I do think it is ironic that the DVD CCA might be pushing people into systems that make large scale piracy simple and efficient by attempting to shut down the server that is the least piracy friendly in the entire category. That's like convicting Zha Zha Gabor, but letting OJ get accquitted...

Couldnt agree more with MrP's comments - i had no interest in how to copy a css dvd until this happened and it is so simple its a joke!!
