VUDU - James Bond. some yes. some no.

Apologies if this has been covered. Some James Bond titles are showing up in my Kaleidescape library. But not all. I have the James Bond bundle from VUDU. And I have the entire set of BR physical disks. Only certain titles seem to be porting to my Kaleidescape library. Any idea why that would be? Why is K making it so hard to get my James Bond library (which I have bought twice and do not want to buy again) into my K environment?

Currently defunct Ultra Violet service allowed content license ownership to be shared among platforms, Kaleidescape Store and Vudu were some of these platforms. Ultra Violet service shut down in 2019 and currently Kaleidescape Store doesn’t share licenses with any other platform. You won’t be able to share your Vudu library with Kaleidescape Store any longer except those grandfathered in prior to 2019.

Physical discs can qualify you to a discount on the Kaleidescape Store digital versions. You need to own a Kaleidescape unit with a disc drive to get the discounts.

We need to know a bit more about your setup and whether you signed up to Ultra Violet service while it was available to answer your question.

James Bond D2D is $25.59 for each title so not many people will jump on that. I have everythng in Blu Ray disks plus Craig titles in 4K. I'm hoping they will have a good sale one day or better yet do a bundle deal that could get us motivated. Including sales tax converting everything to K would be over $700 for the full Bond library and most titles still haven't come out in 4K. That means to eventually upgrade those titles to 4K would be another expense on top of the $700. I've decided to play my Bond disks and let my Lumagen do what it does best until there is a reasonable James Bond to 4K digital opportunity.

I'd forgotten all were in 4K now and Jim our kind forum owner pointed that out to me privately. So above is what it would have said without my brain fart.

Too funny!:) Anyway, many folks here agree with the bundle comment I'm sure, just need the folks controlling the content to allow it!

That’s true, all JB titles exist in 4K and some are in HDR too. There was a couple of sales so far that included a select few JB movies. I bought those immediately and looking forward to more sales to add more, ideally all JB movies to my library.
