Vantage Point

Vantage Point WILL import (it imported on my system), but it can take several hours.

Also, it is possible that when you select "Play Movie" the movie will actually jump to the end of the disk. The bookmark for the movie start point was somehow placed at the end of the movie instead of the beginning. K is aware of this and a fix is in the works (and may already be implemented).

"97% done, 8 mins left" for a couple of hours now.......

Had the same issue with The Golden Compass. Is there a list out there of media that doesn't work with the K'Scape?

Thx

There is an Excel spread sheet put together by Kaleidescape that tells you what movies take a long time, what movies MAY not load, etc.

I down loaded it from Kaleidescape's web site. I don't remember if it was in the public area or the dealer area. Sorry :(

Ignore the time remaining calculation... it's often way off, and sometimes resets to say several hours. Just let the disc go... it will import.

there are other posts on the forum with some problematic discs, but most of those were fixed with the last software update.

I gave up on Golden Compass after several hours. Perhaps I'll just leave it overnight and see what happens

Yes, I always recommend to clients that they load problem disks at night and leave them in overnight, if necessary. Fortunately, there aren't many of these problem disks out there (although I think we have been seeing more and more lately).
