US BR & 4K Releases for March & April 2022

During the first years of the K store, Warner's pricing for new releases was $15.99 for a week or so. Was buying almost everything without thinking twice...

Loved this movie but as I have watched it recently I can hold back a bit. If I hadn't watched it, I would have most probably -exceptionally -paid the $44.99 considering that the IMAX cinema ticket here in Switzerland is $25 p.p. + food x 4.....

For those interested in preordering here's the link:

I see $44.99 on the app. $39.99 on the web. Warner’s press release has $29.99.

• On April 18, “The Batman” will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home for $29.99 and for 48-hour rental via PVOD for $24.99 SRP on participating digital platforms where you purchase movies.

• On April 18, “The Batman” will be available to stream on HBO Max

• On May 24, “The Batman” will be available on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD. “The Batman” will also continue to be available to own in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.

Good catch @sbutter, pre-ordered from the web interface for $39.99, the normal WB early access pricing.

I wish the pricing in those press releases were reflected in the KScape store, but sadly they never have.

Hbo max, it is for me. I don’t care too much for the super hero genre. I would consider it for $24.95 or under. If it was a space movie, $44.95 is no problem ;)

Yes, same for me, will stream it on HBO, they just lost me on this one what a shame.

Does not matter to me since I will not buy it if I already watched it, same was with Dune, I streamed it on HBO.
K leaving money on the table. I am sure I am not the only one. And don't tell me it is the studio because everywhere else it is 29.99$, not 39.99 like at K's.

I can't disagree with the comments, but I prefer the best version I can get when watching these films for the first time. I'm patient enough to not go to a theater, so I'm patient enough to wait for the release on K. Personally I view the price a little differently. If I were to go to a theater, I'd drop $100+ anyway, and leave not having a persistent copy on my K systems, and regarding the difference in price among vendors, last time I checked I don't think K had 60 million subscribers like Vudu, et al., but what K does have is better quality, and that's worth the $10 difference to me.

Jim

K charges a minimum of 10K$ for hardware just for the privilege of using the store so at least give us a small break on movie prices especially when everyone else manages to do so.

They just seem out of alignment from other studios. Example for most new releases…

Disney $24.99
Lionsgate $24.99
MGM $29.99
NBCUniversal $29.99
Paramount $24.99
Sony $24.99
Warner $39.99

I agree with this. I am lucky these $39.95 titles aren’t ones I care to watch. If it was a movie I really wanted to watch (as in space movies ;) I wouldn’t care what the price is, I would want the best presentation possible.

Yes but I paid 35 for most of my Disneys, their prices dropped after the pandemic.

At least for me, I'm so behind in actually watching movies due to lack of time I still need to see Harley Quinn, Shazam, WW84, and Suicide Squad in my DC lineup before I even worry about The Batman... Oh and the Snyder JL cut too... Ugh.

By the time I get to it, I'll catch "The Batman" for $14.99 on sale...sad.

Surprisingly they haven’t actually added the Snyder cut yet despite having been out for quite some time now. It is available in the UK I believe, but not stateside for K. But those movies are not required for this Batman as they don’t tie in.

True. Based on the accolades it was getting and Batman being one of my favorite comic characters, I might have to leapfrog those other titles.

I saw Batman on the local cinema and I wish I don’t after years just relay on my theater but for this title at 39.99 $ it worth I made it this year for Batman and Dune very well movie and deserve the best copy to enjoy but when it was 49.99 that’s will be on hold
