Anyone update to this yet? Always want to wait on a major release! Thanks.

I'm planning to, I upgraded all my Unifi WAPS and added a Unifi 48 port switch, to my UDM Pro Max, all of which are to be installed by my networking guy in a couple of weeks and will also update to 9.0 at that time.

Maybe I will wait to hear how the upgrade goes!

I'm finally updating to Wi-Fi 6, which is why I'm updating all of my WAP's, and I'm moving to the UniFi 48 switch because my Dell 48 is almost 8 years old and already has some failing ethernet ports. We'll see what, if any, improvements come out of these changes. (My networking guy warned me to not expect much.....and that was about a week after I ordered the new equipment.....it's a good thing he's a personal friend! 😂)

I'm all in on Unifi now. Definitely upgrading and looking to add more of their stuff to my setup.

Yeah, I have replaced EVERY network component with UniFi. What a difference…

I really like the UniFi system, works flawlessly in my home. I have 6 UniFi WAP's spaced throughout the house in addition to the UDM Pro, and moving between WAP's works perfectly. I also like the protection afforded by the UDM pro.

I used to have switches, access points and router from multiple companies (Synology, Cisco, Mikrotik, Netgear, ZyXEL, etc.). What a nightmare to manage, especially if you want to use VLANs or other more advanced features). I switched to all Unifi equipment and it was well worth it for manageability purposes! I even switched from Synology Surveillannce Station and HomeKit cameras to Unifi Protect cameras.

Unifi definitely gives a great user experience and premium feel at a great price.

Besides Network, I also switched all of my video surveillance to UniFi! Have you updated to 9.0?

Yeah, I just updated to 9.0 today. I’ve heard good things about it, but I haven’t had time to play with it yet and to update to the latest firewall zone capability.

I was checking the latest version and accidentally started the update process . But all works great! :)

I take it you guys have turned off auto-update so you can decide on your own if and when to upgrade?
I've just learned to trust the QA process at Ubiquiti so I'm pretty sure I've enabled auto-update but only for full-release versions, not beta if I recall correctly.

I have it Off for my Network, but On for my video recording console and cameras. Not doing any betas. I prefer to decide about updates for my network. I agree that the QA seems pretty good, but there are times I don’t want upgrades happening.

Upgraded to 9.1. Now has a very straightforward QOS. Not really having issues, but went ahead and put all of my K equipment as top priority. 😆

I do have auto update on and am running Network Version 9.1.120. I've not had an issue. I may turn off auto update later if I ever have a glitch. So far so good though.

mine auto-updated as well, but haven't experimented with the new QoS features. Good idea to set prioritization for K gear. Will try that. Thanks for recommendation!

While I am not 100% Unifi, I am getting there. I have a few Unifi APs...A Unifi 8port POE Switch, 3 Unifi Cameras...and Cloudkey+.
Also have an Edgerouter 4 and a variety of cheap dumb switches(mostly netgear and t-link) scattered about. The bulk of my devices are hard wired. Just phones, tablets and wifi-only devices like light bulbs use Wifi. If it has a ethernet port its hooked to a switch.

I hope to replace the EdgeRouter 4 and Cloudkey with one of the newer gateways....probably the Fiber.

ALso, replace the various dumb switches with Unifi ones. My ISP is never gonna go past 1g. Rural area with just cable...no chance of fiber out here...and none of my devices are capable of over 1g so I do not need the higher end switches. Probably some of the lower end Flex models.

Ultimately I want to be able to easily create some Vlans and start segregating all the devices in the house.
