The Screening Room 2024 Demonstration script - total run time ~20 minutes

Do you use a script to demo your theater?

Here’s mine. I like to keep scenes short (to hold viewer interest, and to make the entire script not more than ~20 minutes.)

And for anyone interested, here are the scenes with what stands out to me:

65 - 1:23:42 - 1:24:25 - explosion and ship passing by on your left

Hunter Killer - 0:00:54 - 0:02:40 - feeling of being underwater and sound of subs

Blade Runner 2049 - 0:58:48 - 1:02:33 - great ATMOS

Top Gun: Maverick - 1:36:33 - 1:39:08 - speaks...

How do I run a script? And does it automatically pull each movie up and hoot the scene?

Are you familiar with the web browser, at “my-kaleidescape.local” ?
Go to my-kaleidescape.local/scripts, click on “Import from File” and load the script. After you click ok, it will show the script and there will be a green check mark by every movie where you have the same version used to make the script. I.e.: If you have only the HD version of a movie, and the script was made using the 4k copy - or, if you don’t have the movie at all, it will show a red “X” by the command.
Click ok again and you have imported the script.
Now, using your Strato, you should be able to go to the Collections view and run the script.
And yes, it’s fully automatic. (One of my favorite Kaleidescape features.)
Hope this helps.

You're attempting to import a script file using the scenes interface. While the extensions are the same, the files are not interchangeable.

Notice that the URL you're seeing in your screen grabs ends in "import_scenes". You need to be on the ./scripts page (http:// serverip/scripts). Then, when you click the "Import from File" button, the popup URL will end in "import_script"

Can you look at this. I log in and this is where I’m at. I type in the url you suggested and I get a can’t be loaded msg.
Is this the wrong page to select import scene

You are still on the “Scenes” tab.

In your browser try URL “192.168.x.xxx/scripts” where the IP address is the address of your server.

That is, indeed the correct place to import scenes. But the file you are attempting to import is not a scenes file. It's a scripts file. And you are not in the correct place for that.

In your main browser window enter the following URL:
You should end up on a page that looks like this:
1722341155529.png
Make sure you see the word "Script" on the page. If you see a list of movies or a list of scenes, then you're not on the correct page.
Then, click the "Import from File" button. That will give you the following popup:

Notice, again, that the tab at the top of the popup says "Import Script" not "Import Scenes". Choose the .dat file you've been trying to import to import your script.

This is great! I had a nice Atmos script that I lost when my Terra crashed in June. Also lost any new scripts when I deleted HDR titles in Favor of Dolby Vision titles that were able to be replaced.

Unfortunately, I don't see Batman Forever in this script when uploading. Also, since Fury Road portion is the HDR cut and I deleted it in favor of Dolby Vision, it won't be compatible either. I know it was discussed somewhere recently that K it would be nice if K somehow allowed scripts/scenes to be written differently so the would retain across all versions.

Thanks!

There are two versions of the script in this resource. One is ~20 minutes and the other is ~10 minutes.
The Batman Forever and Ready Player One scenes are only in the longer script.
