Strato V Questions

With iTunes I see very little different in picture and sound verses K. It may be my setup but when I play a movies on iTunes I come away not thinking “I’m missing something”. I still go to K first to check if the movie is available.

Yes, and with the modified Apple TV “X” the image quality surpasses Kaleidescape’s. Audio is almost on par, with the nod going to K-Scape; but if you don’t have a crazy high-end low noise system with a $50k+ DAC, you won’t notice.

With kOS 10.20.0, trailers are available on the OSD Store for Strato V (the trailers are also available via the mobile app and the web store).

The trailers that stream from the store are _not_ indicative of the quality you will get when you download the movie. Our store trailers are supplied by a third party service.
Do you know when will 10.20 be available?

UPDATE: Installed my Strato V yesterday afternoon, No problem with setup or registering. Downloaded Avatar which I played in Dolby Vision and Dolby TruAtmos. The first three words that come to mind are...OMG!...OMG!...OMG! :) I've never experienced anything at home that looks and sounds like this. Dolby Vision looks amazing, far, far superior to anything I've watched on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Everything is so crisp and clear and has a 3 dimensional look with deep, rich colors, And the sound? Stunning. My rear surrounds have come to life and the walls now shake. I'm going have to change a couple of level settings on my AVR but that's no problem. I've definitely been taken to another level. Why didn't I do this sooner? (My audio dealer guy is now taking odds on how soon I buy a server. He says it won't be long.):) Thanks. Jeff.

My eyes are in the same boat! Typically DV is dimmer overall rather than too bright generally.... Im not tech savvy enough to point out the specifics, however, DV typically adjusts Brightness scene by scene by generally dimming the darker scenes and brightening the brighter areas for POP. If you have a DV capable TV and have those issues there might be a setting issue.
I stand corrected. Hooked up my new unit and downloaded Avatar. OMG! Dolby Vision looks wonderful and the sound is fantastic. Looks like I had nothing to worry about.🙂 Thanks!

Dolby Vision uses an HDR signal and makes it "better" for a display that doesn't support the full brightness required for HDR. It seems like you are confusing the terminology, which is easy to do since it is so confusing. It's not either DV or HDR. You need content in HDR to use DV.
Set up the new unit yesterday and downloaded Avatar. The Dolby Vision looks AMAZING! Looks like I had nothing to worry about. Thanks again.
