Strato HDD

Hello, Kaleidescape Support told me that if the HDD fails, the Strato is not repairable. Is this true or do you know a workaround (cloning the working HDD etc.)? It is very hard to recycle a Strato only because of a defective HDD.
Best regards

There is no repair for OOW Strato products. The only product (besides Premiere servers) than can purchase a HDD for replacement of a failed drive are the "full" sized Terra servers. Once an OOW Strato fails, including a HDD, there are only two options from K, and both can change at any time. One option is to return the defective Strato to K for a Store credit, the other is to see if it can be traded in for a discount on the purchase of a new Strato/Terra system.
