However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

Are these still for sale? Is this a 4K compliant unit with all latest audio formats. Is there a difference between Stato and Strato S players thanks Glen

Yes, they are available as of now. Yes, this will play both 4k with all supported formats and blu Ray.

This is a 2U rack units while the Strato S is 1U rack unit. Other than that I believe they are functionally the same.

Just confirming they are "functionally the same." I have both models in my systems, there is no difference in performance.

I am interested in dipping my toe in the water so to speak with this technology but not sure if it's a good fit for me as I am not a movie purchaser in the past. What is the manufacture year of these models? My budget is $2,000, will you accept that for one of these units?

I am not sure how to identify the year of manufacture for these units. But they are in excellent working condition without any issues.

Thanks for your offer, but unfortunately I will have to pass on as it is very low. Strato can play 4K movies and is the only digital platform where you get quality similar to or in some cases better than discs. I have never seen Strato sell that low.

Have a good day.

I will be a new owner of K. I am researching to see what unit I should purchase, I am ready and able to purchase now. If I can ask, what would be the reason to switch from two 6tb units to one 12tb unit? Is is a menu organizational reason, rack space? I'm not sure if I should go for one 6tb strato and later add a larger server for more storage. I'm sure if I had 12tb to start this would last me for a couple years. I just want to make sure the movie menu for both units would show up same place / same time. Any advice you can provide would help me make a decision on purchasing your units. Main question is why would you switch from two 6tb to one 12tb. Thanks for your help.

Functionally there is no difference between Strato S and Strato listed for sale here. They will be identical in every way from a functional standpoint.

I am switching because of lack of rack space. The Strato S is 1U while the stratos I am selling is 2U. This helps me reduce 3 rack spaces. I need these because I got a terra server.

The downside of this switch is I am losing a zone. using 2 stratos gives 2 zones of parallel playback, which I am losing going with a single Strato s instead of 2 stratos. If I had the rack space, I would have stuck with existing units.

Also as long as both units are connected to network, you can play movies stored in either of the Strato. So you will have full access to all your movies from both stratos regardless of which Strato they are stored in.

Let me know if you have any questions.
