Slow startup time

When I turn on the power for a player, it take almost 25 seconds before I can interact with it. Does anyone know if Kaleidescape thinks this is a problem (I find it very annoying), and whether they are trying to reduce start up time? What's it doing during that time?

That sounds a bit longer than usual, but I haven't really timed it. All that has to happen is for the player to power up and talk to the server. Like any "computer" that may take a little time and can be affected by your setup (LAN), but I would have thought 10-15 sec. would be enough time.

I don't know about others, but I just leave mine on all the time.

Thats about how long as it takes for me with any of my K Player 5000s. I keep mine on as well.
