Router and AP's

Hello All

My current Arlo Mesh Router is in its last leg and looking to get a new Router and a couple of access points. I have left a message to my C4 dealer to provide me with some options. I keep thinking about Ruckus as my work has it and its stable and never had any issues.

Do you have any recommendations?

My dealer recommended the following:
Araknis 110 Gigabit Router
Araknis 510 Wireless Access Point - Two
Araknis 310 POE+ 16 Port Rear ports Managed Network Switch

Just checking if you guys have any experience with this system. I am leaning towards this due to support from my dealer.

My C4 dealer installed Araknis gear at my house and as long as you aren't planning on doing too much of the management yourself, it is fine. Their access points are a couple of generations behind everyone else, but everything does seem to be pretty stable. They hide a lot of the easier management access behind a tool that only your dealer can utilize.

They are pricier than a DIY system like Ubiquiti, but if you need support then C4 techs know Araknis gear very well for obvious reasons. Additionally, Ubiquiti and a lot of the the other Prosumer gear are not officially supported by C4 so it can make getting support a little more challenging.

If you want something that isn't necessarily the fastest or the best, but will pretty reliably work then Araknis should serve you well.

Ruckus would absolutely work as well, but it does require more care and feeding than the Araknis, Ubiquiti, Netgear, or Eero systems that I have deployed and managed in the past.

Thank You. I kept thinking about Ruckus but support is my only issue. My dealer did confirm giving me admin access to my set up, so that if I need any urgent set up needs can still do.

I felt Araknis is not cutting edge but support for C4 trumps cutting edge in some ways.

So what did you end up going with?
I went with this

Araknis 110 Gigabit Wireless Router
Araknis 510 Wireless Access Point - Two
Araknis 310 POE+ 24 Port Rear ports Managed Network Switch

My C4 dealer ordered everything and set them up remotely. I wired the two access points and swapped out my unmanaged switch and Arlo router.

Now my wifi is stable, Neo remote useable and no heartache using my Tonal or Peloton.
