Rental playback dialogue box error

When I rent a movie on my Strato and I choose to start playing the rental, there is a dialogue box that comes up in the center of the screen that says something like “starting your rental playback”. More than half the time, this dialogue box stays on over the picture and the machine is unresponsive; I can’t stop playback or go back etc. the only thing I can do is to put the machine to sleep and then wake it up. And then when I start the playback, it plays fine.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Should I contact K?

That's a first for me, hasn't happened in my systems. You should start by contacting your dealer, they're responsible for reaching out to K Support, if they can't help.

That's definitely the first report I've heard of anything of the sort. Please email support@kaleidescape.com and report the issue. They will escalate it to the engineering team so it can be investigated. I'm sorry for the difficulty!
 
Given that Mike said to contact support directly, obviously ignore my comment about your dealer.
