Premiere and legacy systems integration

Hello I have a Premiere system (M700 vaults , players and servers).
My friend has an old system 3000 (with a server, a player and a dvd player) which he doesn’ t use anymore, he would like to give it to me.
Do you think that I can integrate that within my Premiere system (e.g. the contents on the system 3000 server and the Premiere servers can be displayed on the same interface..?) or are they two totally different systems and can’ t be used together..?

Thank you

Andrea

Assuming the "old system 3000" you are referring to is a Kaleidescape system, it would be a Premiere system (like yours), so yes, you can add those components to your system. Once the old Server gets added to you current system, then the usual playback rules apply for Store bought content, and Blu-ray disc based content.

I was referring to the old “DVD only” system, I think it came on sale in 2004 if I am not wrong..? Anyway please look at the attached picture that is the system I am referring to.. Thanks Andrea

Yes, that is still a Premiere system and will integrate with your current Premiere system. That's the original 5U Server, KPLAYER, and KREADER and those components are still being used by some owners. (I have at least 20 clients that still own that system.) You are correct that it only imports DVD content (with restriction if for some reason that 5U is not Grandfathered. It should be Grandfathered unless someone transferred those rights to a different Premiere Server).
