Novice needs general advice. Used KSystem 120

It was a combination of things, but the biggest one was that people quit buying music on CD. I mean, usage stats right off a cliff.
Checks Logs...
2021: 222 CDs imported
2022: 42 CDs imported so far

I guess I am the outlier. It is a little bit of a pain to type in the track names and supply album art for new releases not in the guide, but not too bad.

There are many albums missing from Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Lossless. Some albums disappear without notice sometimes. For this reason, CDs will live for many people for a long time.

While not exactly the same situation, I am in a similar boat. I have (2) K-120 Cinema One chassis, one is my "primary" unit and the other was found on ebay as a back up after my original one expired about a year and half ago. That ebay searching resulted in (8) spare K-DISK HDD's also.

I am also using these machines as someone described earlier as "cool music servers" in my Savant environment. The video server aspect is seldom used.

So now both chassis indicate a single failed drive, I reached out to Kscape to let me pull out the failed HDD and insert one of the (8) spares I have to be assigned the "new" replacement drives to the chassis to get them both working and was disappointed to find out that "no longer supported" means I cannot do this.

I was told they are "no longer supported" due to lack of replacement parts, which I see as valid for the chassis and hardware, except for the fact that I have in my possession all the parts I need. I just do not have the software to do so. Is there anyone with the expertise to do this drive replacement outside of the factory support? I would imagine KScape tech support are the only ones able to match the drive to the chassis on the extranet?

I will be bummed if I cannot get my music server(s) back on line.
