Sometimes i buy a bunch of discs and cannot watch them all..
in the meantime i get new ones...
so some movies are lost unseen in my collection.

if there would be a flag "not seen yet", ok, but there is only "new" for a maximum of 6 month..

in my opinion "new" is as long as you have not seen it...

i would like to have that above mentioned flag additionally.

Watch Soon will stay there until you actually watch it. You could use that for your unseen collection.

The "Watch Soon" category has this feature. If you put a movie in that category/collection, the movie stays there until you finish watching the movie - with no time limit. Once watched, it disappears from the category/collection. I usually flag at least that collection upon import of a new movie.

There's also what I consider to be a serious bug in Kaleidescape collections that affects this process. A movie marked automatically marked as "New", or one you put in ANY collections you may have, like "Watch Soon", will lose that collection membership if Kaleidescape ever updates the MovieGuide data for a movie.

This happens a LOT! I often get movies on the DAY they're released... and load them ASAP. In many cases, they're not even yet in MovieGuide. I know in a day or two Kaleidescape will add them to MovieGuide... but that will blow them out of ALL collections, even the still-relevant "New" collection they should have remained in.

I have found movies I very much wanted to watch that I completely forgot about because they disappeared from my "New" and "Watch Soon" collections just because MovieGuide team made some change to the data.

Watch of out for this...

I've reported it 3 different times to Kaleidescape and they keep telling me someone will validate this and let me know if they even acknolwedge it as a bug. Zero responses... they don't even admit this is a mistake or a bug and don't answer any emails about it. It's incredibly frustrating - they used to be very responsive to user-submitted bug reports.

It'd also be nice if there was a slight clearing period (up to an hour?) before those flags were lost, even on viewing. Kinda annoying to be watching the credits with remote clutched-in-hand to pull up the disc menu right before it cycles back to the KUI, because then we have to flip from collections to the list and find the movie again and play the disc/movie again and THEN we can finally watch the extras without risk of spoilerage.

Thanks for the tips!
but after reading josh´s notes i´ll hope that K will fix that issue..
maybe like itunes : there you have a counter how often you heard a song.
this way you could it sort in one or the other direction...

These are good ideas. Though Im happy for it to remove it from the list once Ive gotten to the credits. Maybe that can be toggled?
