Hi,

Congratulations on your purchase!

Yes, to confirm, if it looks like the unit in the second photo in John's post above, that's a second-generation Cinema One. You can download DVD-quality SD and Blu-ray quality HD movies to this player from our movie store, and the player does support Dolby Atmos (and DTS:X) object-based audio on many titles. When you shop for movies using a web browser or our mobile app, we indicate which movies have these object-based formats.

As noted by others, the Cinema One does not support 4K content. 4K support was introduced with our Strato player series.

Note that nearly all 4K movies we offer also have HD versions available. If you think that you will upgrade to a Strato in the future, you may want to...
The Cinema One is limited to SD (DVD), and HD (BR) only. You can download SD and HD content from the Store, but not UHD/HDR content. You will need a Strato w/storage to be able to download UHD/HDR content. Audio output does not include Atmos on the first Gen Cinema One.

Depends which cinema one Rainbowhays has -
First gen - k120 supports Dolby Digital.
Second gen cinema one supports Dolby Atmos / True HD

Cinema One 1st Gen (K-120):
Can only play DVDs and SD content with built-in player (upscaled to 1080p). For Blu-ray/HD quality you need to add an external, M-Class player (M500, M700).

Cinema One 2nd Gen (K0503-0100):
Can play DVDs & Blu-ray discs as well as SD and HD store content. Can only be paired with another Cinema One 2nd Gen and a DV700 vault.

Yup, sorry about that, Stamatopo is correct, for some reason when OP posted "...bought a Cinema One," I interpreted that as Gen 1 (we use 2nd Gen so often, if it isn't stated I assume 1st Gen.).

Note that nearly all 4K movies we offer also have HD versions available. If you think that you will upgrade to a Strato in the future, you may want to consider purchasing movies in 4K from our store. A 4K purchase entitles you to download the HD version to your Cinema One, but since you will have the 4K movie in your account, if you later purchase a Strato player, you will be able to download the 4K version at no additional cost.

The other option of course is to buy HD now, and some studios do offer upgrade pricing from HD to 4K that you could use later should you purchase a Strato, but not all do.

I hope you enjoy your new player!
