Newbie Questions (3)

Could anyone advise me on if it is possible to self-upgrade a 6tb Stratos S or just like the Media DRM, Kaleidescape have locked down the hardware/components as well?

Thank you

You cannot upgrade storage on a Strato or Strato-S. You cannot do it on your own, and Kaleidescape does not offer any storage upgrades by purchasing larger drives. The only way to add storage is to add another Strato w/storage, or better yet, a Terra Server.

Kaleidescape no longer sells Strato-S players, so you will have to buy "used" if you want to add another Strato (the original w/storage) or Strato-S, That said, there "may" be a dealer out there that purchased a few before they were discontinued, so while not likely, there may be a new one available somewhere.

The new Strato systems being sold now are Strato-C (playback only, no storage) with Terra Servers.
