New to KScape - some newbie questions

Well-known member
After wanting a KScape system for years I finally took the plunge and have a Strato C with a 6TB compact server. Only got it set up this week but I have two questions:

1) How do you sort movies alphabetically in the GUI?
2) I have hundreds of Blu-rays I would like to catalog. What’s the least expensive way to do this? I’m confused about the M700 and DV700.

Any newbie tips/advice appreciate.

Thanks!

1) If you mean the web-based store, there is currently not a way to sort all titles alphabetically. You can sort "My Movies" alphabetically with the drop-down in the upper right corner.

2) Least expensive way is to reach out to @cinelife and get on the list for one of his Alto loaners (believe he still has more than one?) I know you can catalog with an Alto, but someone else will have fill you in on other alternatives.

I'm still a newbie too, but a few thoughts:

1) If you can wait, sales are a great way to build your collection, i.e.: if you happen to like scary/Halloween movies, lots on sale for the next few days. Other titles seem to go on sale a least once a year, i.e. the Marvel movies.

2) Be sure to check out the web browser (your local system,) the online web-based store and both apps (the Apple ones will also run on an M1 Mac.) I've found running Second Screen on my MacBook to be very helpful.

Congrats on your purchase.

Welcome to the K club 😎

You can view the movies downloaded onto your Strato in alphabetical order in the List view. On that screen, you can also move sort your local collection by actor, director, rating, running time, etc... just select each column.
