... but we strongly encourage you to register for a full account. There is no cost to register for a full account.

Benefits of registering for a full account:

    • Participate in the discussions! You must have a registered account to make posts on the forums. You will be able to start your own thread on a topic or question, or you can reply to other threads/discussions.
    • Use the "Conversation" feature (known as "private messaging" on other forums) to communicate directly with any of the other users here.
    • Access the Files area. The "resources" area of the forum contains many "Favorite Scene" and Script files that can dramatically increase the enjoyment of your Kaleidescape system. Go directly to great scenes in your favorite movies, created by other owners, and add automation to playback of your system with Scripts.
    • You won't see this annoying notice at the top of every screen!😊

It's easy and free to register for the forum. Just click the "Register" button in the upper right corner of this page, and follow the instructions there.

Xenforo has a great feature called "Watching" a thread. When you click "Watch" when reading a thread, you will get notified every time there's a new comment, reply, or reaction. By default, you automatically have "watching" turned on for any thread you start, and you can optionally choose to watch any thread at any time.

This is useful when there's a particular topic you're interested in and want to track all new comments there.

Please try it out!

You can choose how you want to be notified of new activity in a watched thread: just on the forum itself, in your alerts tab, or via email:

Here's what it looks like when new content is added to a "watched" thread:

and there's a new button "Watched" that always appears in the upper left when you're in the "Forums" tab... clicking that takes you to a summary of what's happening on all of your watched threads.

Just discovered you can also "watch" an entire forum section, not just a particular thread. So if you want to be alerted whenever there's a new post in "Marketplace", for instance, just navigate to the main Marketplace section and press the "Watch" button in the upper right corner:

Glad to see this is an opt-in function now. It was always irksome at needing to go advanced to change the default subscription under the old system. Not that it wasn't a good excuse to take one last look over the preview...
