Greetings everyone,
We rolled out a new movie store feature today, and I wanted to give you a quick heads-up about it. We've noticed that people who visit the movie store tend to focus on the landing page -- the first page you see when arriving at the store on whichever platform you're using to browse it. Previously, those pages were pretty small, and were intended to highlight "what's new and noteworthy." Although we have dozens and dozens of curated collections of movies, there would be only about a half-dozen on the landing page at any given time, and accessing the others required extra steps like opening a menu or switching to a different page in the mobile app.
With this new change, what we've done is to modify our storefronts so that the landing page features many more collections. It's now much easier to see the full depth of our curated collections by simply scrolling through them, and unlike the old menu or list of collections, with this presentation, you have the richness of the movie cover artwork visible as you scroll.
Our content team manages the presentation of these landing pages, so they will still be putting new or noteworthy collections near the top of the scroll.
As always, you can see the full collection by tapping or clicking on the collection name (mobile and web). As well, when you scroll the horizontal row of covers, there is a "View all" tile that takes you to the full collection (all platforms).
Since the collections are now displayed on the Movies and TV landing pages in the mobile app, the Collections page has been removed entirely. If you're ever looking for a specific collection, you can always go to the Search tab and type part of its name there.
We hope you enjoy this change!
