Supports auto ripping of BLURAY disks with a disk loader, dune players play ripped BLURAY isos and disk profiles are downloaded automatically. Probably the closest you will get to the K experience, but it simply is not there.

This one looks interesting... thanks Ian. Can you give any more details about limitations or UI issues?

That covers interface does look vaguely familiar!

I built one for my best friend who could not afford a Kalediescape and one for myself for Blu-ray. It has a very beautiful interface but it still wasn't as simple to use as the K system. I ended up mothballing the server I built for it and gave my players to my friend.

It will work with lots of different front ends but stay away from WMP for the player as it is so sluggish. With XBMC it is more responsive. As for ease of use, his entire family is able to use the system, but he is the only one able to really get content onto the system.

I built one of these without the pretty front end for watching some HD content I generated and it was before Apple TV or other streamers. It works great but its not for everyone.
