Hi.


Tried searching, but didn't find any mention of it in here.

Since the MDV is basically an off the shelf Dacal unit, and has a standard USB port, has anyone tried connecting it to a computer?

I just got one of these off of eBay, which I have yet to test by the way. I bought it to use it on my Kscape system, but figured it would be handy to use it along the dBpoweramp Batch Ripper software, as I've promised to digitize my parents' CD collection for quite some time now.

I feel quite confident that even if Kscape has provided the controller with custom firmware, which I honestly doubt, that it probably wouldn't hurt to connect this to a PC.
I merely wanted to find out if anybody else has tried it, and what the results were.
Obviously, if someone experienced that it does in fact hurt the units ability to properly function with an M-Class player afterwards, I wouldn't do it; but if no one has tried it, I probably will, as I doubt it'll be the case.

I haven't personally but I have heard of 1 person achieving success, no ides of details though, sorry. Good luck on your quest :)
 
Also, you can buy the service kit from K incase the o rings break or become loose. fyi
