Mac Software

I am a loyal Kscape user. I have a small (1,498) but growing collection of movies. I have been waiting patiently for K to release a Mac version for the Music System. My music collection has grown to over 125G worth of material. I am loathe to burn this collection again! Are the K guys even working on a solution for the Mac?

Thats a good question but do you have the original CDs? I know its a paint to load them but still... I believe the PC software just lets you pull the stuff already on the K to your computer not the other way around.

I do. I haven't followed the Music System feature set closely, but I thought it was a two way sync. I have imported a few genres to get a sense that I'd love to have all my music on the K. Bulk loading my CD's may be in my future. Thanks Jerry.

Conductor (the PC syncing software) only allows for syncing *from* the Kaleidescape Server to your PC. You still have to import your CDs onto the Kaleidescape Server first.

I agree, however, that a Mac version of Conductor would be most welcome.

True and VPC is not a great option. Step up to an Intel mac when its time. They are great machines.

Old Music Collection vs Re-Ripping

Hi,

Not sure if saw what format the original music library is in, but since Kaleidescape loads bit-for-bit, unless the original is in that format, I'd re-import the content from the CDs. Many people seem to have pretty low quality iTunes libraries.

Thanks, Steven
