Kserver 1500 power supply replacement needed

The power supply for my Kserver 1500 has degraded and no longer powers the hard drives. I've looked everywhere for a replacement and bought a unit on eBay but it has the same problem.

Does any one know where I can get it (Seasonic SSF-160U1) repaired or get a replacement? Anything I buy must be refurbished because I don't trust used units.

OEM doesn't make them, so any replacement is probably going to involve some degree of kludge-work (TOPOWER had quoted me on a customized 300WU1, and I'm not sure if they came through the pandemic, but any units you might find floating about online would need some amount of work - couldn't say if more or less than the solution proposed later in the thread.) Might want to just send it off to someone like Power-Medic (mentioned in the prior thread) and let them deal with the technical side then.

I tried the PSU repair route and the e-bay one all without success but considerable wasted expense hence the solution I posted a couple of years ago in this thread. Two years on the server continues to be powered up and running as normal.

Good luck. Check the dhcp logs for free addresses, not really about the number of ports in use that causes the problem.
