well, i’m the encore section all they have are strato S/C and terra. Looks like they’re opting for a total download strategy?
 
This is a good move for them. Simplify the line and focus. Maybe try to bring the MSRPs down to appeal to a wider audience.

Then there's room to add a Strato D with storage and a disc drive if they want too. Very ready to hear from K at CEDIA.
 
Unfortunately... they didn't show a Strato with a disk drive at CEDIA. Just had the already-known 1U Strato S and the Strato C. Details in the CEDIA 2018 thread.
 
Alto Movie Player

Speculation is bad. Secrecy is bad. Transparency is good.

We don't sell very many Alto movie players. Alto is approaching its 4th year anniversary. Alto proved to be a "bridge" product because it supported discs, but it also had its challenges in that it doesn't support 4K, and expanding the system with multiple Altos had unpleasant options.

We have stopped offering Alto on our price list. That is it is now in its "end-of-sale" part of its product lifecycle, therefore not listed on the price list.

We will continue to support end-of-sale products so long as they are in warranty (original or extended).

On Strato 6TB in 2U form factor is also in end-of-sale as this product has been replaced by Strato S -- now available in both 6TB as well as in 12TB options.
