K system and Tivo

Ok, so I was reading the bit on Mozaex and came to think what I would really want. What would be amazing, would be a Kscape that integrates with Tivo.

With the pending release of the Tivo Mega, http://custom.tivo.com/mega_products.html, the company is starting to get a little closer to K in terms of concept. The system uses a central server and then distributes its HD material (TV) via ethernet.

Now, imagine if your an installer and all you needed to do was install one central server system (possible two servers, one for K, one for tivo) that gave you cable, DRV and K, all via the same product. I wonder if you would need to use the same box, just jam a Tivo Stream into the next generation K player, and your in business as they would all run via a gigabit switch, with the updated m player knowing which IP is for K and which is for Tivo.

I have a server for movies, a server for audio and a server for TV... a little convergence would be nice.

So we know they are listening... :) Mr Poindexter on your post I think nailed it. Tivo has been all about licensing their product. If you could just have an M endpoint player that decoded both a Kscape server and and Tivo Mega, you would be in business. A man can dream, the impossible dream!
