K Music Player with a 3rd Party DAC

I just listened to some Journey, Lenny Kravitz, and Rush and if the result I am getting is somehow compromised, I honestly don't hear it. The sound now is excellent and I did hear an issue before when I was going over the HDMI. The only problem with these high end systems is they will pull apart poor recordings- and then really delight you on the better recordings.

After this I popped in the SACD of Genesis self titled album. I haven't had the time to listen to this yet and- wow- on Mamma- I have not heard that song delivered with such aplomb before- the stereo mixes never really gave it the gravity I felt it deserved when the drums come on.

Clay,

You said you were running a digital interconnect to your movie player vs the music player? Does that mean the music player is not the best choice for use with somekind of outboard DAC?

If you could elaborate on this, I would really appreciate it. I have a movie player and was thinking of getting a music player for my referrence audio system, but if the movie player is the way to go for DAC use I can still order a Movie player vs music!

The suspense is killing me!!!!!

If you want multi-zone analog and digital, the Music player is the way to go. If you are just using digital, there's no difference between the two players.
