Integration with ezbeq.

not sure i understand this one... but if it's some type of bass optimization, shouldn't the AV processor handle things like this?

It does but the idea is to be able to read what is playing from K and and sent it to beq for it to pull the PEQ and push it out to the audio processor. Otherwise I have to play a movie and then pull up a browser to beq to select the movie and load the PEQ. Afterwards the PEQ needs to be unloaded as well which is easy to forget.

A way, such as via an API, to be able to pull the information from K would be enough as then something like Home Assistant could be used to handle beq once the relevant information has been pulled.

doesn't the API already support passing the title being played? Lots of other integrations are able to show the name of the title, cover art, etc.

If so, and since it appears that EZBEQ is already integrated with Home Assistant, then it shouldn't be hard to create an HA automation that reads the title from the K player, and passes it to EZBEQ, similar to what's being done with other players.
I could be off here... I really don't understand the whole intent here, but seems others are using HA to make it work with other media players, and HA can read K information.

Also, since the creator of the Kaleidescape HA integration is a member here (@Easley) he might be able to advise you some more on how to do this.
See the lively discussion of HA and K integration here: Kaleidescape & Home Assistant

Well we need more than just a title such as edition and audio format and so on and I couldn't see a way to get everything needed and certainly not via either of the Control4 drivers available.

Ideally you wouldn't need anything like HA at all. Just to pop an IP address and perhaps the port number of ezbeq into K and when a movie starts it would push the information to ezbeq and then clear it when the movie is stopped.
