Import Questions...

Hello,

I bought a new speed reader and imported about 350 movies. I had about 7 fail to import and error out. I tried to import the same import again and got the same results. I then went out and bought 2 DVD brand new of the same ones that failed. New DVD's right ;)? same results import failure . So then I decided to import from the player unit and no problem it worked :D. Why did the speed reader fail but the player did not ? Has anyone seen this before? I have also noticed the Kaleidescape is not staying on top of removing Warnings. (Cake Boss for example) Why are they not doing this anymore like they did? I hear they are going under ? has anyone else's heard that ? I am worried...I paid allot for my system.

lots of questions in one post.

1) email support. the speedreader and players have used different DVD-rom parts, and maybe there was an issue with a few discs on one particular vendor's drive.

2) Kaleidescape can address any metadata (like not skipping warning screens) that you find... you just have to report it to them. They'll get it to work right, you just have to email them (with UPC code of the disc if possible) and a description.

3) no indications that the company is in any danger. They do well as a company. You'll find they're answer your questions and support you very well.
