  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

For more information on purchasing a Premium or Patron membership, please see the Account Upgrades section of your user profile.

WANTED: If your're NOT a Premium member, post any "WANTED" items here. (Premium members can make their own "Wanted" post at the main Marketplace forum)

Hi,

I'm looking for a KSERVER-2500 as mine has had a failure.

If you are refurbishing, I can send you the old chassis if you want. It's likely the power supply or the motherboard, according to Rusty.

Hello all, I’m looking for a grandfathered 3U Server. Sounds crazy but I was holding out on the Strato and multiple disc server combination, believing that this was the direction K was going. So I need to consolidate the over 2000 dvd & Blu-ray movies I currently have. Is this possible?

Need to know more about the K components you currently own (adding the 3U to what other components)?

Jim

Perhaps I'm reading your post incorrectly, are you looking for a GF 3U to "start" a K collection? (meaning you currently do not have a K system)

Jim

Yes Jim, I currently have a Strato Player, but my problem is that I have over 2000 Blu-ray and DVD movies with about 1000 already in my K library and did not want to purchase 3 or more Disc vaults to hold my discs. I already was planning on getting a Terra, but the discs are the issue.

Understood. As you already know, you will need a Grandfathered Premiere Server to store your disc collection, but you will still need a Premiere "player" with an optical drive in order to import the DVD's/BR's, either an M500 Player, M700, or DV700 Vault would be needed in addition to your Premiere Server (you could use one of the older Player's if importing only DVD). If you want access to your BR collection once it's imported, then a Vault is needed to store the physical discs, otherwise you would need to place a selected movie in an M-series Player to prove ownership before an imported movie will playback.

Once imported, you would add the new K Switch to integrate both systems to be able to see your full collection on screen.

Depending on the number of discs you plan to import, you "might" be able to get away with a 1U as well (with Four 6TB drives, 18Tb of storage). You indicate 2000+, so 3U is probably the better option, but if most are DVD's, a 1U might work, just have to do the math. Hope that helps. PM me if you'd like to discuss this further, I don't want to hijack this thread.

Jim

Also, probably the right move since the Encore (Alto) system is limited to a maximum of two disc servers.

I am looking for a gf cinema one to store my dvd audio collection.Since its just for that looking for it on the cheap side 1600-1700. These things don't appear to have a rackmount . correct?

I am looking for a SVC-KIT-0020 power supply replacement kit for the 1U KSERVER-1500. Please PM me if you have one for sale. Thanks!

I'm looking for:
SVC-KIT-0080: KVAULT-M700/DV700 Blu-ray Drive
SVC-KIT-0040: KVAULT-M700/DV700 Power Supply
I bought an (As-Is) M700 from a guy on Ebay. The unit is dead and the Blu Ray player is missing. UGH! I thought it would at least have the major components included.
Still salvageable situation if I can find the parts.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Chris

Looking for KDISK-KDISK-2000-L

Hi All,

Had a disk die on my 1U...on Christmas day!!! NOT FUN!!

I really don't want to spend $ 700 on a 6TB replacement drive...when the rest of my servers have 1TB and 2TB drives.

Anyone have a new drive out there for sale? Will I just be able to plug and play?

TIA

D
