How much bandwidth used per month?

We have a 1TB upper limit on our monthly Internet upload/download usage and I'm wondering if that's any sort of concern for a K-scape potential customer as me. I have only just begun monitoring our "normal" usage, and so far this month we've used only about 24GB of our 1,000GB ceiling, so it feels sorta alright to me, though honestly we are completely brand-new to video streaming of any kind having only recently moved out of the extreme country where we had only Hughesnet satellite which was untenable.

Knowing only enough to be dangerous about this stuff, e.g. one of my fave movies Lawrence of Arabia is apparently a 110GB download for the 4K version, and so I wonder if people here have a sense for when an ISP is inadequate to K.

A related question is "can e.g. a Strato be told to only download movies overnight"? We get a reliable 30Mbps down which I think should only be an issue if the K-system is dl'ing coincidentally to another important download process.

On average, you will be able to download approximately 15 4K UHD titles per month not counting any other usage (notice all the disclaimers in there:)). You will need to manage your downloads based on your usage rates and also you need to know exactly what happens when you hit your 1TB cap.

The Store allows you to manage your downloads with the “Create Download Schedule” tool (go to Manage —> Downloads).

Unless you buy every movie every week, it's usually not a problem for me with a 1tb limit. Then again I'm not streaming all my normal TV either.

Biggest issue is getting started or adding equipment. I bumped close to and over a few times when i got my Strato and downloaded all my owned movies in 4k and HD. Then again when I added a large legacy server and redownload all my hd content to it to free up space on the Strato.

Like John said, it's knowing what happens when you go over. Comcast here allows 2 months in a 12 month period as freebies, so i always start making downloads at the beginning of the month. If you're going to waste a free month, make it count. Even if i hit a third month, Max charge is only what the equivalent commercial rate would be (no limit on commercial accounts). They've never throttled me.

Thanks guys, very helpful info.

Sounds like getting started will be the hard part--I will want to [try to] limit my downloads to those I will actually watch, and resist the urge to load-up the new toy "just" to play with the interface.

:)
