How does downloading extras work?

Some UHD/HDR downloads offer extras as separate downloads. Is this really downloading the HD versions because they have the extras? Is there a way to download only the extras?
 
All of the extras are located in the HD downloads. Some of these HD downloads are split in “Feature” and “Supplement”. I just start the downloads of both, go to the “My Downloads“ tab on the Store and see if the Supplements are broken out separately. If so, I delete the “Feature” download.

Hey Rasalom,

When you download a title, go to the Downloads page (on the Store) and look for two entries. If you see one for the 'movie' and one for 'supplements', you can remove the 'supplements' entry from the queue and it will not download (and you obviously won't have access to the extras on your system). If only a single entry appears on the Downloads page (meaning you only see the 'movie' entry), you cannot remove the supplements as they are part of the same download.

If you have a UHD or HDR version of the movie and it lists extras, those are most likely part of an HD download on your system for the same movie. You can delete the HD version of a title while keeping the UHD/HDR version and remove the extras. Keep in mind that if you have players in your system that cannot play UHD/HDR, any movie where you delete the HD version will no longer appear on those players (since they cannot play the UHD/HDR version).

That shouldn't be much of an issue. Either flavor of 4k is only storable/playable on the Encore side, and the Strato are supposed to downscale UHD copies (but not HDR) if connected to a lower-resolution display.
