Home movie import?

Hi All, I have some home movies of the kids in .MOV format and converted to MPEG2 format, then burned to DVD for import. However my KS vault won't import or recognize the disc. Anyone know what I'm missing, how to get these movies into my KS? Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do these discs play in a standalone DVD player? The discs have to be authored in DVD format, not just MPEG2 files. Also I would use DVD-R media as those are the most universally readable of all of the writable DVD formats (including DVD+R, DVD+RW, etc).

You can import the following discs: DVD-Video format from DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW discs. These should be authored using appropriate software to insure they are authored correctly.

I do agree with AW above, I'd use -R for the reason he stated. (But they all should work if properly authored.)
